Simple Socks with Kathleen

Learn to knit a simple top-down sock pattern in a quick and cozy worsted weight yarn! Kathleen will guide you through the basics of classic sock construction from the top to the toe, with special attention to the heel in between. Class size is limited to 5 so that each participant gets personal attention and the best learning environment. Class fee includes three class sessions and pattern. Does not include yarn or needles.  Students must be able to knit and purl confidently and be familiar with basic decreases and knitting in the round. Socks will be knit on double point needles. 

Fridays, May 10, 17, and 24 from 2-4 p.m.

$75 includes 3 class sessions and pattern.

This class requires yarn to be purchased from Chattanooga Yarn Company.  Requires approximately 220 yards of worsted weight yarn for a women’s crew sock. Feet larger than a size 10 or a longer leg will require more yarn.

All of our classes are kept small so that each student can get individualized attention. You may only reserve your space today by calling the shop to pay during business hours, or by coming into the shop and paying in person, or paying online. We expect that classes will fill quickly. Preregistration is required. All class fees are non-refundable because your payment holds your space in class. Please make sure you can attend all class sessions, as make-up sessions are at the discretion of the instructor. We reserve the right to cancel any class with less than 3 registrants, but your class fee can be used for a future session if your class is cancelled. Class credits are good for 6 months. All classes, unless otherwise noted, do not come with materials and require for yarn to be purchased at Chattanooga Yarn Co. No Children, guests, or pets are allowed in classes.
