If you love alpaca, but it's always a little too delicate and not quite tough enough, you're going to absolutely adore Herriot Fine. Made of an innovative combination of soft, fluffy baby alpaca and nylon, it's dreamy enough for next-to-skin shawls, cowls, and year-round sweaters, but it's tough enough for SOCKS! In a superfine gauge, you can knit it tightly for hats and socks that will wear like iron, or more loosely for dreamy shawls  and crushable cardis. You don't often find this kind of versatility in a fine gauge yarn, and even more rarely in alpaca.
