Learn to Knit Socks with Catie!

This class will demystify the terrors of sock knitting and use a step-by-step methodology to teach you the basic construction of socks.  Using Summer Lee's I'm So Basic Sock pattern, you'll finish with a pair of adorable contrast-color socks and a new understanding of how socks are actually made!  

You'll need to download the FREE pattern from Ravelry for "I'm So Basic Socks" by Summer Lee.  You'll also need one 100 gram hank of sock yarn and approximately 50 yards of contrasting sock yarn.  Please have yarn purchased and wound before class, and please bring your PRINTED copy of the pattern to class with you.

THIS IS NOT A LEARN TO KNIT CLASS. You must have either completed a beginning knitting class here at Chattanooga Yarn Co or have completed several projects such as hats or sweaters in order to take this class.  You should be able to knit and purl confidently, follow a pattern, and have used basic increases and decreases before taking this class. 

Suggested Yarns:  Malabrigo Sock plus Malabrigo Ultimate Sock Mini, Stella Luna Merino Sock set (comes with contrast mini), Cobasi Fingering (non-wool sock yarn)

Class Policies

 All of our classes are kept small so that each student can get individualized attention. You may only reserve your space today by calling the shop to pay during business hours, or by coming into the shop and paying in person, or paying online at ChattanoogaYarn.com. We expect that classes will fill quickly. Preregistration is required. All class fees are non-refundable because your payment holds your space in class. Classes are non-transferable. Please make sure you can attend all class sessions, as make-up sessions are at the discretion of the instructor. We reserve the right to cancel any class with less than 3 registrants, but your class fee can be used for a future session if your class is cancelled. Class credits are good for 6 months. All classes, unless otherwise noted, do not come with materials and require for yarn to be purchased at Chattanooga Yarn Co. No Children, guests, or pets are allowed in classes.
