If you know the basics but you feel like a sweater is "too much" or "too hard" or like you're "not good enough" to do a sweater, this is the class for you! The Step by Step Cardigan will take you through a simple, raglan-style cardigan suitable for anybody who knows how to knit and purl and has completed some smaller projects but hasn't made a sweater yet! This classic, relaxed sweater style will be a wardrobe staple for decades! 

THIS IS NOT A LEARN TO KNIT CLASS.  Students should be able to knit and purl confidently and be familiar with basic increases and decreases.

The Doodle concept is an amazing way to learn and love stranded knitting!  This class will teach you the ins and outs of basic stranded knitting.  You'll learn to work two or three colors in one row, to read a colorwork chart, and how to operate within the Doodle Knitting framework -- a fantastic way to design your own stranded knits and use your creativity to make exactly what you want.

This class will use a cup cozy pattern to learn the basics of stranded knitting and the Doodle framework.

Students will need the Cup Cozy pattern from Pacific Knit Co (either downloaded or in print at Chattanooga Yarn Co) and the yarn of your choice in Fingering, Sport, DK, or Worsted Weight.  All yarn must be purchased at Chattanooga Yarn co. Students will also need to purchase the Doodle Knitting Directory, a Doodle Deck, or Download the Doodle Chart of their choice.

Please have the Cup Cozy cast on and the ribbing complete before the first class

We recommend 12" circular needles or magic loop method for this class.

If you've learned to knit and purl and made a few hats but you're ready for a little bit MORE, it's time to try cables! This hat will teach you to follow a cable chart, with tips and tricks for keeping track of where you are. You'll learn to work different cable stitches. You'll learn to do shaping within a cable pattern, making a beautiful cabled hat with an elegant decreased top.  

THIS IS NOT A LEARN TO KNIT CLASS. Students must be able to knit and purl confidently, knit in the round, and be comfortable with basic increases and decreases.

Students must download the October Hat by Sloane Rosenthal (FREE on Ravelry) and have the desired length of ribbing complete before the first class.  All yarn must be purchased and wound before class.  Please PRINT the pattern and do not attempt to work from your phone in this class. Space is limited as this is an in-person class.

Ladderback Jacquard Class with Danielle

If you've worked colorwork, stranded knitting, fair isle, or Doodles before, this class is a great next step!  Traditionally, you would tack long floats as you go, but the Ladderback Jacquard technique is a great option for handling long floats without it showing through on the right side.  Join Danielle for this enlightening class to advance your colorwork skills!

You will need to download the Alaska hat pattern by Camille Descoteaux on Ravelry and print it out. DO NOT ATTEMPT TO WORK OFF YOUR PHONE FOR THIS CLASS. Please have the ribbing completed before the first class so you can start the colorwork in the first class. All yarn should be wound and ready to use before class.
