If you love the dreamy soft squish of alpaca, but find it a bit warm, this yarn is blended with 50% soft wool for thermal versatility (I just made up the phrase "thermal versatility." Tell the others!). It's in a light sport weight gauge, so you can make a sweater that will go comfortably from Fall all the way through Spring, and will feel so lovely without losing its shape. Perfect for adding interest to a stranded knit, it’s also a perfect sweater yarn alone, with a soft hand and such incredible colorways. In a flexible dk-ish gauge (I know it’s called light worsted. We were so blown away by the feel of this yarn! It's a classic-looking tweed, with a looser ply and light weight, in a traditional aran weight, but it's SO SOFT! It has that gorgeous rustic tweed look, but none of the rustic ITCH -- it's dreamy soft!

We're so excited to offer Entropy DK from Feederbrook Farm. This American grown, milled, and dyed yarn has a remarkable hand-spun look but has the consistency and quality of mill-spun yarn. Each skein will be a bit different due to the complex spinning and dying process.

Feederbrook Farm is located in northern Baltimore County, Maryland, and has been family-owned and operated since 1970. They focus on producing high-quality, hand-dyed yarns and fibers from their sheep and from fibers produced by other farmers. They keep a number of breeds of sheep in the flock but are focusing on Teeswater, Blue-faced Leicester (BFL), and BFL Teeswater cross (BLTees). Feederbrook is known for the 2 ply DK yarn line called “ENTROPY”. ENTROPY is designed to mimic the look of handspun yarn. Dyed prior to spinning, this 2 ply Barber Pole has subtle color shifts that make it a unique gradient perfect for any knit, crochet or even woven project. Typically made in Bluefaced Leicester (BFL) wool, this long-staple wool resists pilling and has a smooth handfeel.

Berroco Vintage is our most popular yarn, and there are great reasons for that! It's soft and sturdy, machine washable and consistent with great stitch definition. Berroco has expanded the Vintage line with Berroco Vintage Handpaint -- a gorgeous new kettle-dyed, tonal effect yarn. It coordinates perfectly with our existing Berrco Vintage shades as a little spruce up to a multi-colored project, or works beautifully on its own as a sophisticated new color pattern of Berroco Vintage.
