Linen tape is a magical yarn, and this hand-dyed, lightly variegated version is simply fabulous. An owner favorite, this yarn is smooth and soft to the touch, with a cool hand and none of the stiffness of wet spun linen that you may have used before.  We fell in love with Knitty Gritty Fiber Co Soft Linen Fingering at first sight.  Made from a unique combination of linen, alpaca, and tussah silk, this yarn is like nothing you've seen before.  It has a slightly rustic look, with a bit of unexpected texture, but it's soft and has magnificent drape.  The yarn absorbs the dye gently, resulting in soft, subtle colorways. The silk adds a slight sheen, the alpaca adds a bit of plump volume, and the linen gives excellent stitch definition.  It's perfect for lightweight sweaters, but also works beautifully in lace shawls.
