After experiencing pregnancy loss and the stillbirth of a child, the hand-dyers behind Knitty Gritty Fiber Co decided to hand dye yarn in order to provide hand knit clothing for stillborn babies.  For every 5 skeins sold, they knit a hand-dyed hat to donate to NICUs throughout the country.

We were blown away by the beauty of the yarns, but our hearts are filled by their sweet mission.  

Knitty Gritty Bamboo is a breathtaking sport to dk weight bamboo/merino blend.  It's astoundingly soft, but the sheen is what sets it apart from other hand-dyed yarns.  It also has a lovely drape once worked up that you'll love in sweaters and accessories.
